Message from the President
Dear Rattlers and supporters:
I am humbled at the opportunity to serve the FAMU alumni of the Tallahassee and Leon County areas. Being a native of Tallahassee, born at the FAMU Hospital, and growing up only minutes away from FAMU, I’ve been a fan of this great university for as long as I can remember! I marched in the “Marching 100,” serving as its Head Drum Major, was a member of the FAMU Industry Cluster, and now I’m the President of the greatest chapter in the FAMU National Alumni Association!
My vision of the Leon County Chapter entails a renewed energy and interest towards supporting our alma mater and its students. Whether that is increasing the number of fundraisers, being more visible at local events ie convocations and other university events, or just learning from each other about what you love so much about FAMU, what’s important is that we learn from each other and make this a chapter that will be here for years to come, a chapter that will be supporting our sons and daughters as they make their way to the Highest of 7 Hills!
With your support and input, we can accomplish quite a bit! With 12,000 alumni in Tallahassee, we should have a stronger voice on a local, regional, and national level, and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in 2015!
Forward Ever; Backwards Never; FAMU Today, FAMU Tomorrow, FAMU Forever!
